Olivia (Lead): Female, 25-35, African American
witty and sarcastic, Olivia is a confident and successful businesswoman interviewing for a new job; she experiences various microaggressions during the interview, which then carry into the evening at dinner with her friends; has natural hair. Appears in three episodes and the epilogue.
Sam (Lead): Female, 25-35, all ethnicities
a very successful businesswoman who triumphs despite living with bipolar disorder. Seeking an actress with fantastic range who is able to show a wide range of emotions with little dialogue. Must be comfortable running on a treadmill and playing half of a same-gender couple. Has an athletic build and is more masculine in manner. Short hair is a plus. Appears in three episodes and the epilogue.
Kim (Supporting): Female, 35-50, all ethnicities
a bit rigid and stuck in her corporate ways, Kim is the head of her department at a high-flying marketing firm; she is not very personable and is deeply rooted in her subconscious, negative connotations of those different from herself. Appears in two episodes and possibly the epilogue.
Jayden (Supporting): Male, 25-40, African American
loving and supportive husband of Olivia. British accent is a plus. Appears in one episode and possibly the epilogue.
Boutique Attendant (Supporting): Female, 35-50, all ethnicities
owner of a small bridal boutique; proper and very well-dressed with expensive jewelry; she means well, but makes an assumption about one of the women who comes into her store. Appears in one episode and possibly the epilogue.
College Bros (Supporting): Male, 18-22, all ethnicities
three drunk and immature college guys who throw Islamophobic slurs at Rashida. Appear in one episode.
