The Indie Fest is about helping independent filmmakers gain credibility, publicity and introductions to distributors with whom the Indie Fest has relationships. The primary goal of traditional film festivals is to bring entertainment to local audiences which makes filmmakers of secondary importance. The Indie Fest is not a traditional film festival, it is an awards competition. Serving filmmakers is our first and only goal.

The goal of the Indie Fest is to help the winners of this coveted award achieve the recognition they deserve. We seek entries from talented filmmakers, television producers and videographers. The Indie is a top-tier, international awards competition. The Indie is a showcase for cinematic gems and unique voices. It is a user-friendly competition.

The Indie Fest’s has seasonal deadlines/judging and grants awards as appropriate within four to six weeks after each deadline. Winners are also promoted via targeted press releases to media outlets, and to The Indie’s email database of more than 23,000 filmmakers and industry insiders.

The Indie recognizes filmmakers who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity.
